In the wake of the war in Ukraine, Germany stopped purchasing Russian oil. Russia has intercepted two British long-range Storm Shadow missiles. Russian troops have intercepted shorter-range Himars and Harm missiles built by the United States. Ukraine has rejected previous accusations of Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia.
