Ukraine attacked oil pipelines with drones in several places in northwestern Russia on Saturday, according to Russian media reports. An incident occurred in the Tver region on the Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline, reports the Russian newspaper Kommersant. A drone crashed near the town of Erochino, about 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, the local council said. The Telegram channel Basa reports that the drones attacked a supply station of the Druzhba pipeline.

The Tver region is located north of Moscow and borders the Pskov region to the northwest. From there, another drone attack on an administrative building of a pipeline was reported. Two of the flying objects had damaged the administration building, writes the local governor Mikhail Vedernikov on Telegram. This was the result of preliminary investigations. No one was injured. Pskov, in turn, borders Belarus, Latvia and Estonia. Neither Pskov nor Tver have a border with Ukraine.

In some cases, information on the events of the war and mutual attacks cannot be independently verified. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense did not initially comment on the Russian media reports on Saturday. Ukraine has rejected previous accusations of Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia.

The Druzhba oil pipeline is one of the largest in the world and delivered Russian oil to large parts of Central Europe – including Germany. In the wake of the war in Ukraine, Germany stopped purchasing Russian oil.

In addition, according to an agency report, Russia has intercepted two British long-range Storm Shadow missiles. Furthermore, twelve drones have been shot down in the past 24 hours, the Ria agency quotes the Russian Ministry of Defense. In addition, Russian troops have intercepted shorter-range Himars and Harm missiles built by the United States.
