Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion with Western help for almost two years. The Ukrainian military has already sunk or at least seriously damaged Russian warships with missiles and maritime drones on several occasions. This week's attack took place on the west coast of the Crimean peninsula, which has been annexed by Russia since 2014. There has so far been no confirmation of this incident from the Russian side.
