Two women murdered by their partners in less than 24 hours. The sexist murders of Laila on Thursday in Olot (Gerona) and of Cándida on Friday in Aldea del Rey (Ciudad Real) would bring the number of fatalities of gender violence to five so far in 2024.
The Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, has condemned the events and called for us to be "even more proactive" in the fight against gender violence. The Government Delegation against Gender Violence confirmed the first of them and is investigating the second.
