Two people disappeared as a result of an avalanche in the Kamchatka region. The body of one of the victims was carried into the Pacific Ocean.

The other was covered by an avalanche and had to be rescued by rescuers. The avalanche happened on March 18. The cause of the avalanche is still unknown, according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The bodies of the two victims have yet to be found, the ministry says. The search for the second victim is still ongoing, the agency says.
