According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on the afternoon of March 18, a message was received that a group of 11 tourists was covered by an avalanche.

As a result, nine of them were able to escape.

“Independent searches did not bring any results, and the tourists contacted rescuers by satellite phone, reporting their coordinates,” the message says.

Rescuers moved to the avalanche area.

On March 4, the body of a volunteer who was caught in an avalanche in the Kronotsky State Nature Reserve in the Kamchatka Territory was carried into the Pacific Ocean.
