Egypt announced an airdrop of aid over the Gaza Strip with the participation of several countries. Announcement sparked much controversy and criticism among the audience on social media platforms.
Some Gazans documented the moment when planes dropped aid over central and southern regions of the Strip. Others wondered about the trucks parked in Rafah and Al-Arish and why they were not brought in when their cost was much less than the airdrops. Some bloggers from the people of Gaza commented on the aid, saying, “What is hoped for from the brothers is a land bridge through the Rafah crossing, as it is easier, easier and faster”
