Cycling in Helsingborg is at a low level compared to the rest of Skåne. The city is investing SEK 100 million a year, both in 2022 and 2023, to expand bicycle lanes and other cycling infrastructure.

In 2022, Cykelfrämjandet named Helsing Borg Sweden's best cycling city. But the city's climate goal is to have net zero emissions in seven years, i.e. by 2030. And that, above all, the number of cyclists does not increase at the rate that is necessary for sustainable development.
