The deputy commander of Hamas's military wing, Marwan Issa, was killed in an Israeli airstrike. In addition, senior Hamas commander Ghazi Abu Tamaa was killed along with Issa.
Earlier, at least 18 civilians were killed as a result of Israeli airstrikes on the city of Deir al-Balah in the central part of the Gaza Strip. Also, US Presidential Assistant for National Security Jake Sullivan and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant discussed the fight against the Hamas movement in the Gaza strip.
