On March 8, the world celebrates International Women's Day, amid extremely difficult circumstances for women in the Gaza Strip. UN Women says that more than 9,000 women and girls have been martyred so far since the start of the war on Gaza.

Since last October 7, 1.9 million people have been displaced, including about a million women andGirls. More than 5,500 women are expected to give birth this month, including 840 women who are likely to be exposed to health complications.
