The acting judge of Martorell (Barcelona) has opened an investigation into the violent death of an inmate at the Brians 1 penitentiary center, in Sant Esteve de Sesrovires. Sources familiar with the case explained to Europa Press this Monday that the prisoner was allegedly murdered by his cellmate.
The UGT union, in a statement, has regretted this incident and has once again denounced the staff shortage that in its opinion Catalonia's prisons have, as well as the "lack of security measures"
