Authorities of Peru are investigating a woman who mutilated her partner's penis while he was sleeping in an attack of jealousy over an alleged infidelity. The aggressor, identified as Marleni Rimarachin Colunche, 39 years old, awaits the investigation in freedom and without coercive measures.
The couple has a three-month-old daughter. The incident brought to mind the famous case of Lorena Bobbitt (now Lorena Gallo), the Ecuadorian victim of domestic violence who severed the sexual organ of her then husband.
