The detainee, a 59-year-old man of Spanish nationality, is also accused of an alleged crime of breach of precautionary measures. He was already arrested on October 25, just a few days after four fires once again burned part of El Saler.
In December he was released because investigators found no more incriminating evidence at his home and it was considered that there was no flight risk. The mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, already commented in October of last year that this series of fires were arson.
