Fernando Marman and Luis Harr said they cooked for the family that held them captive, but lived mostly on homemade bread and white cheese. They explained that they had not seen sunlight during the 129 days since their detention, and that they told the host family that they were Argentinians.

Relatives of the former detainees said that the two men had received “some kind of medication” recently, and had not been beaten, but had returned “very weak.”
