Fernando Marman and Luis Haar said they cooked for the family that held them captive, but lived mostly on homemade bread and white cheese and so lost a lot of weight.

They explained that they had not seen sunlight during the 129 days since their detention, and that they told the host family that they were Argentinians and that they were talking to them about football.

This is how Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported - in a joint report between Adir Yanko, Yael Chichanover, and Yoav Zeitoun - they mentioned at the beginning that Fernando Simon Marman and Louis Harr returned in good condition to the country despite being detained for 129 days by a family from Rafah.

Israeli special forces entered the second floor of the building amidst an exchange of fire and under cover of air strikes - according to the report - and were able to extract the two detainees.

Relatives of the former detainees said that the two men had received “some kind of medication” recently, and that they had not been beaten, but that they had returned “very weak.” They had not seen the news throughout their detention, except for one time when they were able to watch a broadcast on Al Jazeera, and they remained detained in place. Same in recent weeks.

The families of the two men said they were asleep when Israeli forces entered, and before they realized they were in Israeli hands, they were certain they would die there.

They stated that their rescue came as a complete surprise, and Fernando's niece said, "I see that they are fine. They are slowly starting to adapt to what happened to them in the past four months."

The two former detainees - according to the newspaper - were reunited with their families at Sheba Hospital on Monday morning.

Aidan Begirano, Luis's brother-in-law, said that the two men were eager to roast some meat on coals, as Argentines do. Clara Marman, who was previously released, said that she "was with them in a tunnel before she was transported to be released."
