The two agents murdered in Barbate are a Catalan and a man from Cádiz and they leave three orphaned children. The Civil Guard has arrested five people for their alleged involvement in the death of the agents.
Three of those arrested are crew members of the drug boat and the other two people who went to pick them up have also been arrested in Sotogrande. The three on the boat are charged with two crimes of homicide and serious injuries to law enforcement officers. Aged 34 and 54, they have a history of drug trafficking and smuggling.
