The Supreme Court acquits the president of Ausbanc and the director of Clean Hands of extortion and fraud. The magistrates have thus agreed to annul the sentence handed down by the National Court by which they were sentenced to terms of eight and four years in prison, respectively.

They were accused of extorting banking entities in exchange for avoiding legal action or smear campaigns. The Criminal Chamber thus annuls the sentence imposed in a case in which it was not proven that they exerted that pressure to withdraw the accusation against Infanta Cristina in Nóos.
