State Duma deputy Evgeny Fedorov proposed excluding the funds of individuals recognized as foreign agents from the deposit insurance system. A copy of the letter addressed to the Chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, is at RT’s disposal.

In the appeal, the legislator noted that currently funds placed by foreign agents (with the exception of individuals, including individual entrepreneurs) are not subject to insurance. If an insured event occurs, the Russian state still undertakes to compensate these citizens with money.
