State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev proposed limiting the ability of foreign agents to raise funds for their activities through collective fundraising through Russian online platforms. A copy of the letter addressed to the head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Daniil Egorov, is at RT’s disposal.
The legislator noted that in accordance with current legislation, individuals who receive funds from foreign sources, including from citizens, government and non-profit organizations, are recognized as performing the function of a foreign agent.
