In the appeal, the legislator noted that in accordance with current legislation, individuals who receive funds from foreign sources, including from citizens, government and non-profit organizations, and are engaged in political activities aimed at influencing Russian society, are recognized as performing the function of a foreign agent .

As the deputy emphasized, since the beginning of the special military operation, many such persons have left national jurisdiction and are conducting their activities in other countries, including those included by the Russian government in the register of unfriendly ones.

At the same time, these individuals, who actively use anti-Russian theses in their speeches, according to Khamzaev, are currently attracting Russian citizens as sponsors (financial donors), collecting funds through domestic crowdfunding platforms on the Internet.

“In this regard, I ask you to pay attention to this situation, and also consider the issue of possible blocking of the organization of collecting funds for the activities of foreign agents through domestic crowdfunding online platforms from Russian citizens,” the appeal says.

Earlier, the State Duma proposed obliging foreign agents to report on the income and property of their loved ones.
