The South African government launches a "labor force activation plan" aimed at reducing excessive unemployment. Data shows that South Africa’s current unemployment rate has exceeded 32%, and young people account for the majority of the unemployed population.

The program will be rolled out in phases, starting with a pilot in Gauteng before being rolled out to other provinces. The project cooperates with the South African Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and other departments to provide opportunities for unemployed people, young entrepreneurs and other groups.
