The PSC saved the socialist honor in Catalonia. The formation managed to win in votes although it was a bittersweet victory since Jaume Collboni did not manage to be the most voted.
In Barcelona the 'anti-Colau' vote was imposed. The former mayor and candidate for Trias per Barcelona, Xavier Trias, won again in the city 12 years after governing it for four years. He was defeated by Ada Colau and in these elections of May 28, 2023 he has hit back.
