Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the United Nations, on 8 June called on the U.N. to deepen cooperation with the League of Arab States.
He said that a series of positive changes have taken place in the Middle East recently, and unity, cooperation, dialogue and reconciliation are forming a strong momentum. China appreciates the just position of the League and its members on the Palestinian issue and supports them in continuing to play a leading role on the issue. China will continue to work with Arab countries through thick and thin, promote the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future.
