The ruling party in the Republic of South Africa, the African National Congress, decided to withdraw South Africa from the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. This was announced by the President of the country during talks with Finnish leader Sauli Niinistö.

The ICC Pre-Trial Chamber, whose jurisdiction Russia does not recognize, issued a warrant for the "arrest" of Russian President Vladimir Putin and children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that no decisions of the ICC matter to Russia, including from a legal point of view.
