Beijing favors an international peace conference on Ukraine, provided that both Moscow and Kyiv take part in it. This was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Geng Shuang.
Earlier, China and Switzerland advocated inviting Russia to the summit on Ukraine. Also, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China’s efforts in Ukraine are aimed at paving the way for negotiations. He said that Beijing is ready to interact with all parties to consolidate consensus to end the conflict.
