The Bureau of the Parliament agreed to withdraw the seat to the suspended president Laura Borràs. She was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and 13 years of disqualification by the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia for the crimes of prevarication and falsification of documents.
After this conviction, the Central Electoral Board (JEC) ordered the withdrawal of the seat despite the fact that the sentence is not yet final. For this reason, the Bureau definitively withdrew the seat on Friday, 9 June.
