Hezbollah announced that it launched 8 attacks on Israeli positions off the border, while Israeli media confirmed that a battalion commander survived a Lebanese missile attack. Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy said that his forces were determined to harm Hezbollah members in Lebanon. He added that the army will not return the residents of the north to their homes until security and stability are fully established there.
