The National Natural Science Foundation of China released the "Top Ten Progress in Chinese Science" in 2023. It aims to publicize the major progress in basic research in China.
Nearly 100 experts in relevant subject fields selected 30 results. Representatives of those who achieved the top ten progress were awarded commemorative plaques and took a group photo. The selection event has been successfully held for 19 times since its launch in 2005. It is divided into four links: recommendation, preliminary selection, final selection and review.
