The Ministry of Internal Affairs will check the signatures collected in support of Nadezhdin. The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia accepted for consideration an appeal from social activist Vitaly Borodin with a request to verify information about the illegal collection of signatures.

As RT reported, Borod in his appeal claims that, in addition to volunteers, citizens were involved in collecting signatures for financial reward. After the Russian Central Election Commission refused to register Boris Nadeszhdin as a candidate for the presidential election, the politician announced his intention to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.
