Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev called the damage caused in 2022 to the Russian agro-industrial complex from African swine fever (ASF) and avian influenza very significant. He said this at the final meeting of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Minister called on the authorities of the Russian regions to constantly monitor the issue of the epidemiological situation on the ground. Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said that state support for the agro/industrial complex in new regions of Russia in 2023 will amount to 4.5 billion rubles.
