The commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Pavlyuk, announced preparations for “counterstrike actions” in 2024. He said this during the All-Ukrainian marathon.
According to him, it is planned to withdraw units that require additional staffing and renewal to training grounds in order to “create a strike force and carry out counterstrike operations this year.” The day before, the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, Alexander Syrsky, and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, reported to the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin.
