The mainland has improved its emergency response plan and taken multiple measures to ensure the safety of Macao’s water supply in the near future. The Pearl River Committee introduced that last winter and this spring, seven rounds of strong salt tides occurred in the Modaomen Waterway at the Pearl River Estuary.

During this period, relevant departments comprehensively strengthened salt tide monitoring, water source reserve, fresh water storage and water supply dispatching. The water supply safety in Macao, Zhuhai and other places has been fully guaranteed.
