The Latvian Parliament has banned the import of agricultural products from Russia and Belarus. The ban does not apply to agricultural products transiting through Latvia to other EU countries.

Earlier, Oleg Zykov, Charge d'Affaires of Russia in Latvia, said that over 1 thousand Russians moved from Latvia to Russia due to Riga's migration sanctions. The Seimas adopted amendments to the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development, which prohibit the importing of agricultural and feed products for consumption in Latvia.
