This was reported by the press service of the Latvian Parliament.

“The Seimas adopted amendments to the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development, which prohibit the import of agricultural and feed products for consumption in Latvia from Russia and Belarus,” RIA Novosti reported.

It is noted that the ban does not apply to agricultural products transiting through Latvia to other EU countries.

Earlier, Oleg Zykov, Charge d'Affaires of Russia in Latvia, said that over 1 thousand Russians moved from Latvia to Russia due to Riga's migration sanctions.
