[HIGHLIGHTS] The Investigative Committee of Russia indicted in absentia the prosecutor and the judge of the International Criminal Court

ICC Pre-Trial Chamber issued a warrant for the "arrest" of Russian President Vladimir Putin and children's ombudsman. Russian Foreign Ministry said that no decisions of the ICC matter to Russia, including from a legal point of view.

The judge's actions are qualified as knowingly illegal detention and preparation for an attack on a representative of a foreign state. The decision to bring charges in absentia against the judge and one of the other judges is illegal, according to the Russian foreign ministry.
