[HIGHLIGHTS] The head of the LPR Pasechnik confirmed the death of the Minister of Emergency Situations during shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Lisichansk

The head of the LPR said that the death of 28 people was a result of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. He said that many of the victims were children who had lost their parents in the conflict.

The death of the children was caused by the shelling of the city of Mariupol, he said. The head of LPR added that he was saddened by the loss of life, but that he did not know how many more would be killed in the fighting. The LPR also said that it was a tragedy that the children were killed, and that the families of those who died were devastated.
