The FSB stopped a terrorist attack using a toxic substance in the Zaporozhye region. Three citizens of Ukraine were detained.

The seized drugs are used to create chemical weapons of mass destruction and were developed in the United States. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 355 of the Criminal Code (“Development, production, accumulation, acquisition or sale of weapons of Mass Destruction”) and Article 205 of the criminal code (‘Terrorist act’) The head of the LPR administration, Leonid Pasechnik, received severe poisoning with phenolic compounds in December 2023.
