Floods caused by torrential rains in northern Italy have already left at least thirteen dead, dozens missing and 13,000 displaced. There are 24 municipalities flooded and all the rivers in the region have overflowed.

The rain of six months has fallen in 36 hours. The rains forced to cancel yesterday the Grand Prix of Formula 1 scheduled this weekend. The repetition of extreme weather events "may be a consequence of ongoing climate change," says the Air Force Meteorological Service. The government has announced the maximum willingness to help the affected areas.
