Israeli newspaper "Jerusalem Post" confirmed that an Israeli intelligence officer submitted his resignation due to a "dismal failure" in anticipating the Hamas attack on October 7. The newspaper described this first resignation of its kind as a “major event,” and expected it to pave the way for other resignations within the ranks of the senior military ranks.

Experts expect that major security and military leaders will not rush to submit their resignations as the war on Gaza continues. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to blame others for that failure.
