The Eastern Theater of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) organized a combat readiness patrol and the "Joint Sword" exercise around Taiwan Island from 4 to 8 April. The exercise focused on testing the ability to seize sea, air, and information supremacy under the support of the joint operation system.
The task units simultaneously organized patrols to create an all-round situation of encircling the island. This is a serious warning to the collusion and provocation of the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and external forces, said a spokesman for the Eastern Theater.
