The Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia discussed with the Ambassador of Lebanon the situation in Gaza and Yemen. The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict could develop into a crisis of regional scale.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at an open debate of the UN Security Council that the situation on the Lebanese-Israeli border is explosive. According to him, unilateral military actions only worsen the “already difficult” situation in the region. Russia confirmed its position in support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Lebanese Republic.
