The All-Russian Society of the Deaf reported the detention of a number of leaders. Among the detainees are VOG President Stanislav Ivanov, first vice-president Evgeny Bezrukov and former vice- president Vadim Ivanchenko.
The society is operating as normal, the press service warned. There are no official comments from law enforcement agencies. The detentions are in accordance with the decision of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the society says.
