Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the Bundestag called on the German government to investigate sabotage at Nord Stream. If suspicions against the Ukrainian authorities are confirmed, this should entail "immediate" consequences, politicians say.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel previously reported that German intelligence is receiving more and more data that points to Ukraine's responsibility for undermining the Nord Streams in the Baltic Sea. According to The Washington Post, the yacht "Andromeda" was not the only vessel that participated in the sabotage. At the same time, in February, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh published an investigation into US involvement in undermining Nord Stream, which he claims was carried out by divers from the United States.
