[HIGHLIGHTS] Tensions between Sudan and Chad before the UN Security Council

Tensions were felt between Sudan and Chad before the UN Security Council. Some delegations expressed concern about the closure of the border.

Sudan has accused the United Arab Emirates of supporting the Rapid Support Forces. “They are looking for scapegoats, that's all,” said Mahamat Saleh Annadif, Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs.“We have proven that we welcomed our brothers Sudanese and that they have no control over our borders. In any case, any humanitarian aid can pass through our territory, we have given our agreement.”
