Ten minor poisoning due to excess chlorine in the Daoiz and Velarde pool in Madrid. One person who has been hospitalized with a mild prognosis.
Madrid City Council Firefighters have proceeded to ventilate the entire pool space to empty it of toxicity, Emergencies said. An incorrect mixture of chemicals by the maintenance technicians would have produced a very toxic and corrosive cloud that has affected the users and workers of the facility. The pool has been closed since midday and the situation is under control.
