[HIGHLIGHTS] Sudan today. Army bombs RSF positions, Kabashi deputy to Burhan and dismissal of Hemedti from the Sovereignty Council

Sudanese army fighter jets bombed positions of the Rapid Support Forces. Commander-in-Chief of the army, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, appointed Shams al-Din Kabbashi as his deputy.

Hemedti was relieved of his post as vice president of the Sovereignty Council. In Jeddah, indirect talks between the two sides are continuing with a view to reaching an immediate and sustainable ceasefire. In Khartoum, clashes took place between the army and the Rapid support Forces.
