State Department approves deal to sell Hellfire missiles and equipment to the Netherlands. The administration has already notified Congress of the decision.

The deal may be blocked within 30 days. Earlier, Chairman of the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ben Cardin approved the sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey after Ankara's decision to ratify Sweden's accession to NATO. The U.S. State Department also approved the possible sale ofF-35 jets to Greece. The sale will contribute to the implementation of US foreign policy objectives by strengthening the security of a NATO ally.
