Spain joins forces in the EU to recognize Palestine "at the right time". The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and his counterparts from Ireland, Malta and Slovenia committed this Friday to recognizing the Palestinian State when it is considered right time.

Currently, there are eight EU countries that already recognize the Palestinian state : Bulgaria, Cyprus, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Sweden. The statement signed by them indicates that the step will be taken when "I can make a positive contribution and the circumstances are correct."
