Spain: towards an amnesty law for Catalan separatists, a breath of fresh air for Sanchez. The Justice Committee of the Spanish Parliament approved at the last minute the amnesty law which will soon be submitted to a vote by deputies.
The crimes committed by former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont during the referendum are therefore no longer considered terrorism. The current leader of the Together for Catalonia party, a refugee in Belgium since 2017, will therefore be able to benefit from this amnesty and consider returning to Spain soon.
