At the end of April, it will be possible for private individuals to search for the owner of a lost cat in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's register. In January, a new law was introduced that means that all cats must be ID-marked and registered.
The idea is that it will make it easier for stray cats to be reunited with their owners. The cat owner must have chosen to be searchable forPrivate individuals in order for the information to be displayed. It is also required that you have a chip reader to be able to read the ID marking.
